Princeton, IN · Aug 2024 – Dec 2024
At Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana, I worked within Bodyweld Production Engineering on the launch of a new BEV fender assembly line. I authored a detailed 30+ page process specification and instruction document, benchmarking fender processes at TMC Japan and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky to establish best practices. I completed comprehensive training on the Toyota Production System, Toyota Process Creation, and Improvement Methods. Using SolidWorks, I performed reach and feasibility studies on Kawasaki robotic weld tooling for three different processes. One of my key contributions was identifying three critical errors during late-stage planning and developing countermeasures that saved an estimated $250,000+. Beyond my engineering work, I organized six professional development events for co-ops to build skills and facilitate networking across the plant.
